So let me preface with something.....
I spent almost all my early and mid years dancing. I loved the culminating performance and getting to show my stuff.
I am sooooooo excited for when my girls are in dance class, and hopefully, they will love it too.
For now, all my "small child performance" dreams lie in Landon.
And he is his father's son.......
So, at the end of VBS this year, they were doing a Parent's Night where they got up on stage and sang their songs and did little dances along with them. They even had drums that they made that week, but, for very good reasons, the pre-schoolers just got to take them home and NOT bang them in unison during the performance.
I was stoked for the super cute video and pictures I would get of my little guy dancing along to VBS songs! I could just see him singing along with "Ri-ise and shi-ine and give God the glory glory!"
Nope, I got something a little different:
It started out well....listening and getting ready to go.
Then, mid song, we had a little booger break.
I guess he heard "boogie" and took it a bit differently....that is what I am going with!
And the crown....a fun craft that was just a distraction for my one-track-mind kiddo. Forget dance moves, fidget with the crown!
Oh well.....I will just have to shelf my grand performance dreams for the next in line!
At least at home he obliged to sit for a picture with his sister to commemorate VBS.
This is what I get for saying "Put your crown on your head and say cheese!"
