Caroline.....9 months

Oh boy, are we in trouble!!

Just look at that face:

Those eyes can get you every time!

So, what else is going on in the life of a 9 month old?

Plenty!

Take food, for instance.  No more baby food for this gal!  Now that she is sporting 2 brand new teeth, if she can't chew it, she doesn't want it!
And the messier, the better....

She has mastered the cup too!  She comes out damp after every drink, but we are working on it.

Like I said, no more baby food.  She will just help herself to whatever she likes....

.....and clearly clothing is optional.

In terms of mobility, this girl is on the move!
I know it must be hard to move around all these adorable baby rolls, but she manages!

If there is an object on the floor, it becomes an item to push around the room.

And standing up??  Who needs something to hold onto?  She just hops up in the middle of the floor!

All cabinets are fair game.....

Landon finds it especially fun to lead her around the room.  Such a good big brother!

So proud of herself!

Way to go Caroline!  Big kisses for you....says Reese!

Her increased mobility and the sheer fascination of doing everything Landon and Avery does means she is right in the middle of wrestling with Daddy.

This girl loves to snuggle and interact with everyone!

It took her a while to warm up to Nana, but they are becoming friends!

Her and Avery can just sit and have conversation all day long!

Of course she still snuggles with Mommy too!

Can we just discuss the mischief of a 9 month old too?

Like unrolling toilet paper....

And removing (and throwing onto the floor) our socks just to eat our toes.....

We had friends come to visit and they have a 15 month old.  Those two were like twins!!  Into something at all times!

This child is moving through the first year milestones so fast!!  I was hoping to savor the baby-ness of my last baby a bit longer, but I will take a happy fireball any day!

She is super healthy as well, measuring in at 27 3/4 inches and 18 lb. 14 oz.

She eats only table food, and has started taking whole milk mixed in with reserved breast milk.

Still sleeping 12 solid hours at night and napping at least 2 hours every afternoon (makes Mommy SUPER happy!)

She has moved from just babbling to actually forming words.  Her first word?  Mama.

And miracle of all miracles, the girl wants her Nuk now!  All those months I actually wanted her to take it and she wouldn't and now that we are close to getting rid of it, she wants it.  Not a battle I am taking on today!

I bet her next month's post will include something about walking.....or driving.  If she keeps up at this pace, it wouldn't surprise me!
