Caroline....3 months

Better late than never!!

Been a bit busy with moving and all (more on that later....) but we are trying to keep up with normal activities.

No matter the stresses of a complete life upheaval, this little gem is all about the smiles!

Exciting things up to this point....
First movie!  We took the others to see the new "Planes" movie and she tagged along.  I am sure she was completely captivated....

I love how she will just fall asleep anywhere, whenever the mood strikes her.  Her daddy is that way too!

She is just so HAPPY!!!  And talkative!  She has started mimicking and will make sounds like "Hi" and "Hello", which is what I say to get her to smile.

See where she gets the ears.....

I was so excited this month when this happened:
But it didn't last long....that was the second and last time it has happened.  Maybe in the future.....

She is getting so tired of laying on the floor.  She would rather be sitting up any day!

I suppose that is why she has taken to the Bumbo rather well!

Early on, she started to show signs of trying to roll over:

Then one day it happened!!  WAY earlier than Landon or Avery!

Now all she wants to do is roll around and check things out!

I wouldn't be surprised if she crawls soon too.....she already gets that butt up in the air like she is ready to take off!

We can't forget our gals day at the circus!  She was such a trooper through the heat, loud noises, and smelly elephants!

She has a new-found love of dangly toys too.  Again, much earlier than the other two.  If this is supposed to be my last baby, why does she have to grow up so fast???!!

Of course, I have been running around like a crazy lady recently, so I *forgot* to weigh and measure her.  Guess we will just wait till next month and pick a happy medium between last month and next!

My unofficial measurements, though, are:
Height: Going to be tall
Weight: Chunky

And my favorite bit to report of all......
She sleeps through the night EVERY night!!
Not just a fluke time here and there.....every night!

Still not interested in artificial means of eating, but as long as she is happy and sleeps well, I suppose there isn't much to complain about!

Day 129

Nothing like the 11th hour to hear words like "we may have a delay....."

We are carrying on, even though it seems we may have some things unfinished on Closing Day.

Carpet was finished up and the stair carpet looks awesome!!

All the spindles were put in.

My fridge came today....

.....and so did my washer and dryer!!  This made me happy today!

The toilet was put in the half bath that got a little bit of a "remodel" this week.

And all the doors have been hung with all the hardware on them.

The floors got their final coat of varnish as well, so they look nice and shiny!

All we have left is the glass doors for the showers, mirrors, replacement light fixtures (some were broken), new dishwasher (I didn't like the one they put in, so I upgraded), paint retouches, trim retouches, vent covers, closet bars, pantry door, door jams, front door last coat of paint, exterior door hardware, a doorbell, thermostat, minor alterations......

Seems like a lot, but we have TONS of time!

A whole 36 hours.....

Day 127

Here we go....

Just a few things left on the list!

Spindles were starting on the stair rails:

The under-cabinet lights were put in....doesn't that pot filler and stove just scream "Cook HERE!!!"
Favorite thing, I think....

The floor guy came and fixed the floor where we had to move the toilet. Doesn't even look like there was ever a hole there anymore.....

And big news today.....CARPET!!!
This is Caroline's room:

My library:

The downstairs family room:

They were busy working in the upstairs and in the Master, so we stayed out of the way!!
But the kids got some much needed time to run around and try out the new floor!

Almost there....

3 more days!

Girl's Date

So while the boys were working at the house, us girls thought it would be fun to do an activity as well.

I just happened to notice an ad for a circus in town, so that's what we did!

It was just me, Avery, and Caroline....and cotton candy, of course!

It was a pretty small circus, so we had up close seats and really had a blast!

We started with an elephant ride:

Then we sat down for the show!

She clapped for everything!

This cute lion hat came with the cotton candy....good thing too...cotton candy was $7!!!!

The circus was called "UniverSOUL Circus" so all the acts had a Caribbean or hip-hop flair.
The dancers and acrobats were really awesome!

Of course, they still had the regular circus elephants and hula-hooping dogs.....

I think her attention stayed strong as long as she had battery power in her glow ball and cotton candy at hand!

Sticky fingers!

Caroline did really well too.  She started out looking all around and watching everything.....

.....then fell asleep and slept through all the drum music and clown antics.

I loved my girl date and I am so happy to be able to do things like this for each of the kids!

Plus, you don't have to go too far for me to find a good excuse for a circus trip!  :)

Day 125

Finishing touches.....

The bathrooms all got some pretty spiffy additions today:
Toilets!!!

Plus all the fixtures were put in too!
This is Caroline's bathroom:

The kid's bathroom:

The upstairs bathroom:

The hall bath:

The hall bath had a minor mishap today too.....the plumber didn't like where the toilet was, so it is being moved.  Now the floor guys have to come back....

And the Master shower is all done now too!!
This is Adam's side:

And my side:

The tub looked amazing....even with dirty water in it!

The kitchen wasn't neglected either.
My pot filler is in!!!!

And the water is running!

The boys spent the day adding shelves to the storage room downstairs.  Looks great!!

Now the rest of the storage room is cleared out and ready for all the boxes and junk the movers will be bringing on Saturday.

There was extra wood, so Adam moved it to his garage.  Of course it will all have to be moved again when he puts his garage stuff in there....wonder if he knows that??

He was excited that the plumber got all his piping in for his utility sink in the garage!

Now that there are toilets, it is livable in my book!
The builder says I have to wait until Friday, though....

5 more days.....
