Avery.....2 months!

Time is whizzing by, I tell ya!!

Already, my little baby is 2 months old!

Here are the latest stats on her:

Height: 21.5 inches (12th percentile)
Weight:  11 lbs. 4 oz. (53rd percentile)

I was guessing she would be a tall one, but maybe not.....
....It is still a bit early to tell!  :)

I think it is safe to assume she is eating well though....check out those jowls cheeks!

She is smiling now and will coo as well.  That has to be my favorite part!

Daddy is starting to notice that she isn't as breakable as he thought she was at the beginning.
They have play time....

....and snuggle time too!

Along with being 2 months old came the dreaded shots!  Avery did NOT like them for one second!!!

In fact, after a nice dose of Tylenol, this is how she spent the rest of her 2 month birthday:

Not so much fussy after the Tylenol, but just hung out.  A few bruises on her legs but no worries.

Especially with a big brother to help look after her!

The Circus!!

So what does one do when it is cold, rainy, and snowy (yes, snow!!) outside??

We go to the circus!!
We had our picture taken with the clown...
We rode an elephant (for $10!!!!...highway robbery!)
Ever see the movie "Water for Elephants"??  This is Rosie from the movie!
All settled in for the show!
Got a snack, of course!
Cotton candy!!
And since we were sitting, we had to hold Avery!
This is how Avery spent the first half of the circus....
.....And the second half (even after the woman was shot out of the cannon!)
Clapping for the show!
His favorite part was the motorcylces in the steel ball!
By the end, it was pretty hard to sit in our seat!
Our cotton candy sugar rush was crashing down!

And now we are home for a nice, looooong nap!

Landon-isms

Here is just a small sampling of the things that Landon has said (and done) recently to just put us in tears laughing!

Adam:  Hey Landon, where is your nose?
Landon:  (Puts his finger up his nose)
Adam:  (Goes through the other pieces and parts....) Landon, where's your "neener"?
Landon:  (Points between his legs) Daddy, neener! (Pointing to Adam's lap)
Adam:  Where's Mommy's neener? (Being sarcastic)
Landon:  Mommy neener all gone!

Upon waking up from nap time....
Landon:  Guy buh-bye?  (The A/C guy was here for an estimate)
Me:  Yep, he went bye-bye.
Landon:  Daddy buh-bye?
Me: No, Daddy just went out to the store.
Landon:  Daddy mall?
Me:  No, Daddy went to the boat store to look at boat stuff.
Landon:  Daddy, uh-oh.  No no!

Adam:  What does a doggy say?
Landon:  Woof Woof
Adam:  What does a lion say?
Landon:  Roar!
Adam:  What does Mommy say?
Landon:  Daddy, no no.

And then there are the things he DOES.....

When Avery is playing on the floor...
When I aim the camera at something in front of me...
When I say to be nice to his sister (so sweet!)....
And when I say to smile...
Good thing Avery finds him funny!

And we do too!  We love you Little Man!

Isn't it ironic???

We had a thunder storm last night....

.....it came after a day of sun and 70 degrees.

Not what I expected when I woke up!

The irony???

We are having estimates done in less than 24 hours for
AIR CONDITIONER!

Only in Duluth.....

Barnum and Bailey ain't got nuthin' on us!!

You ever feel like your life is a bit of a circus??

I understand that!!!

Seems we have a lot of those "3 ring circus" days around here.

Take Wednesday, for example....

Adam was off, so we went to the Home Show to search out air conditioners (believe it or not, a brand new home in Duluth does not always include AC!).

Things started out well......

.....then Avery decided it was time to continue filling her pants.

Normally, I am thrilled to have her poop, since she has some issues with that (different discussion!), but this time was a bad time.

The bathrooms at the Home Show did not have changing areas.

Luckily, the nice man trying to sell Adam a boat let us use the lovely deck of his beautiful pontoon boat to change her.  Seriously, that was interesting!

Then, at home, we were welcomed by a suprise from the dog....

.....the woodland creature she found and ate recently did not settle well.

She left the proof in Landon's room.....really, LANDON"S ROOM!!

So, while I am feeding Avery, Adam is cleaning Landon's room.

When I am done, I decide to bring him a pitcher of hot water to help clean up...

....and Avery threw up ALLLLLLL over my front.  Of course then she was hungry again.

We got Landon in PJs and ready for bed....then he decides to have his daily "movement".

And it was a doozy.......with all the excitement, he was extra wiggly.

I had to clean the carpet again.

Finally, Landon is in bed, Avery is ready for a change and her last meal before bed.

As if I wasn't purely done with all the messes that night, she pees all over herself and the changing table.

Another outfit for her....

The next day, after a trip downtown to explore, we were again welcomed home by more proof that the dog's stomach was still not feeling well.  Sh*t happens!

I told Adam I was BEYOND glad he was home for this fiasco, since I would have hung up the hat on that side show!

So, step right up!  Free admission daily!

"Hoppy" Easter! :P

I love that kids seem to bring out the fun in all the holidays.

Now I know there is a much more profound reason to holidays like Easter, much more than just bunnies, eggs, and baskets with treats.

But kids sure do make the commercial side of it great!

Here are the details to the Easter Bunny's visit to our house:

Baskets were left for each one of the kiddos...

Landon was dressed up all fancy for church

Avery got all purty too!

Then Landon got to see what the Easter Bunny left for him!

Avery was NOT too interested in the whole basket thing, especially since it was before breakfast...

But after a good meal, she was camera ready!

Happy Easter!

Siblings

Landon and Avery are soooo cute together!!

Especially since, now, Avery is awake much more often and notices when someone is close to her.

And Landon likes to be close to her!

He always wants to play right by her....

And spend time with her....

And hold her....

She seems to like him, at least for now!

Such cute kiddos!
