Cookie Creations

A while back, Landon was diagnosed with nut allergies, not just peanuts, ALL nuts!  Since then, we have found several things are processed in plants that also produce nut products......

...specifically cookies.

It has now been a mission to make cookies on a regular basis so that we can have them at home and not have allergic reactions.

Soooo......here is an idea of what this adventure entails...

We have to get all the ingredients out, including a VERY enthusiastic helper!

Once the dough is made, a taste test must be administered.....

(also the #1 job of the VERY enthusiastic helper)

After an endless amount of time to let the dough cool in the fridge, we are ready to rock and roll....

Cutting out the cookies is probably the most important step....especially since you can't overlap your cutters.

(Well, nobody said anything about staying in the lines!)

What fun are plain cookies??  We have to decorate!  With LOTS of sprinkles!!

Finally, after another endless amount of time, we have our first batch of cookies!

Although, without frosting (which is usually made in a plant that makes nut products) all those gazillions of sprinkles end up somewhere between the counter and the oven....and the kitchen floor.

Taste tested and given the OK!

If it's good enough to eat, it must be good enough to wear...

Clearly, we can see what the most protruding part of my body is right now..... :)

Here we go.....

I have always loved reading (or stalking, if you will) other people's blogs, so after a LOT of procrastination, I have finally set up my own blog!  Bear with me, as I am a self-proclaimed "technology challenged" person!

Let me introduce you to my "musings" in life:

This is my husband, Adam

And our 2 year old, Landon

We are also expecting Baby #2 this spring!

Life in this household is partially crazy, a bit hectic, and always fun!
